Sea Girls

Posted on April 16, 2018 by kschertz

I heard Sea Girls for the first time a few months ago when their tune “What For” appeared in my Apple new music playlist. I did not realize until the moment I heard them that I was missing something in my life. Many of the alternative bands I grew to love ten years ago have disbanded over time, and when I heard this UK band it felt refreshing. It was the same feeling you get when taking your first deep breath of accomplishment after making it to your final destination on a long hike. They have an incredible talent of writing songs with an anthem appeal that will have you singing along in no time and will have you slowing down on your drive home (or driving around the block again) to sing along to the chorus one last time.

Sea Girls released their debut EP Call Me Out last year followed by the release of their second EP Heavenly War in early 2018. Their latest tune “Eat Me Whole” was released last month. They are currently touring with The Academic and have plans for a headlining UK tour this fall. Give them a listen. If you have been looking for a new alternative band, you just found one.
